NYC skyline

What would be a trip to this beautiful city without admiring the most beautiful skyline in the world. The view will not only leave you speechless, but it will make you wonder why you are not one of the lucky ones living in this city. What my mom and I did was to go on top of the Rockefeller centre during the daytime. It was my first day in NYC and I was still overwhelmed by the tall skyscrapers. So when this unbelievable view unfolded in front of my eyes I couldn’t help, but feel as if I was on top of the world. Yet, I didn’t know what was going to happen just a couple of days later when I went to the observatory of the Empire State Building. It was a dream of mine to visit NYC and explore all of its beauty, so naturally my heart was pounding as the elevator was going up and up and up. We got out and in front of us was the most magical views I could ever imagine. It was around 9:30pm and the whole city was sparkling and in the distance I could hear the busy NYC traffic. Looking at the pictures I took back then, I have to admit that it does not look half as good as it did in real life…

Walks around Central Park

During the whole time I spent in New York I had unbelievable luck with the weather, but on the day that we decided to go to Central Park…the weather was even better. It was a very sunny day and I had the opportunity to witness the park in all of its glory. The park, as you could imagine offers a number of different activities. From boat rides, to different sports activities to just spending some quality time with your favourite people. It undoubtedly was very refreshing to take some time off of the busy everyday life in the streets of NYC and enjoy a peaceful break in the embrace of Central Park.

Visit Museums & Galleries

Would it even be a proper trip to NYC without visiting places like the Guggenheim Museum or The Metropolitan Museum? Together with my mom, we went to Guggenheim, where we had the opportunity to see the work of famous names such as Pablo Picasso, Claude Monet, Paul Klee and my personal favourite Salvador Dali. What is more, the whole building on itself is a masterpiece on its own…and if this doesn’t convince you…then I should mention that you will also have the opportunity to see a Golden toilet by the Italian artist Maurizio Cattelan.
