NOON BY NOOR FALL WINTER 2024 AT LFW

On Friday morning, Shaikha Noor Rashid Al Khalifa and Shaikha Haya Mohamed Al Khalifa, founders and designers of @noonbynoor, unveiled their Fall Winter 2024 collection titled ‘Winter Solstice’ as part of the official @londonfashionweek schedule.

Noon By Noor is a luxury womenswear brand that embraces relaxed silhouettes, intricate details and a deep appreciation of masculine dress codes to create signature pieces.

The presentation itself took place in the River Rooms at London’s Somerset House, a versatile venue with a creative and raw aesthetic. The site featured faint traces of its former tenants, dramatic original fireplaces and exposed brick archways.

From an aesthetic standpoint, the location offered the perfect setting to showcase the brand’s new collection. The venue, illuminated by ample natural light streaming through its windows, combined with the light that was reflecting on the clothes, created a captivating interplay between sunlight and fabric.

The collection itself draws inspiration from the style of women like Isabella Blow, Anna Piaggi, Diana Vreeland, Lucinda Chambers, and Amanda Harlech, as well as designers such as Bill Gibb and Ozzy Clar, while seamlessly blending the brand’s Bahraini roots with a touch of London style.

The final pieces included reinterpreted slip dresses, lightweight construction tailoring and oversized, sensually elegant, or corset-like draped jackets.

Overall, the intimate presentation provided a close-up view of the outfits, allowing attendees to appreciate the intricate details, while soft, airy music added to the ambiance, enhancing the overall experience for the guests.

AMYLYNN AW24 AT LFW

On Thursday evening I had the opportunity to attend @amylynnofficial’s debut runway show in association with @londonfashionweek.

AMYLYNN is a London-based contemporary clothing brand, famous for its statement party-wear pieces, specialising in bold metallics, vibrant colours and unique fabrics.

The runway show took place in the heart of London at St. John’s Church, a stunning example of Gothic architecture that added a touch of history and sophistication, making it the perfect setting for the event.

The collection was heavily inspired by the 90s club scene and featured many metallic pieces, sequin dresses and shimmering trousers, ultimately capturing the essence of the era’s vibrant nightlife.

In short: THAT GIRL EVENINGWEAR.

As a glitter girl myself, it’s no secret that my absolute favourite item was the shimmering blazer, a truly striking piece that stole the spotlight.

ADRIANNE WEBER AT LFW

On February 17th, London-based brand Adrianne Weber unveiled the Vol. 4 “HIM FOR HER” collection during the official @londonfashionweek schedule.

@aw.eber is a ready-to-wear brand founded in 2022 by creative director Adrianne Weber, @driwmimi. Traditionally focused on a contemporary woman’s wardrobe with classic staples and precise tailoring, this fashion week marked a significant expansion as the brand debuted its inaugural menswear collection at the Marylboone’s Bomb Factory Art Foundation.

The venue itself provided the perfect backdrop for the event — a large-scale, industrial space with huge amount of wall and floor space, cool grey colors and a raw aesthetic. As guests arrived, they were greeted by a live art show performance by Italian artist Niccolò Pellegrino which continued even as the catwalk unfolded.

The debut menswear collection draws inspiration from London’s underground music scene — channeling its raw, rebellious spirit into designs that seamlessly blended street-smart edge with refined luxury.

Vol. 4 proposes a wardrobe designed for self-expression, featuring different garments that offered versatility and the flexibility to be combined according to the wearer’s interpretation — dresses that can be transformed into two-piece sets, silk maxi skirts that can be morphed into leather micro skirts, as well as unexpected cuts, dramatic necklines and sculptural gowns.
